Top 10 Favourite Book Quotes

Hey, hello! Happy Friday, I hope you’re all having a great week so far. I was supposed to post this on Wednesday but I’ve had a busy few days and wasn’t able to take time to post it.

Today I’m going to be telling you my top 10 favourite quotes from books I’ve read. I’m looking forward to doing this as I love so many quotes from so many books.

Libraries were full of ideas—perhaps the most dangerous and powerful of all weapons” – Throne of GlassI couldn’t have a favourite book quote post and not include at least one from my favourite series!

Even when this world is a forgotten whisper of dust between the stars, I will always love youEmpire of Storms – Again, this is one of my most favourite quotes in the Throne of Glass series. Empire of Storms was such an emotional rollercoaster.

There was a time, not long ago When flowers grew all year When days were long And nights star-strewn And men lived free from fear– The Bear and The Nightingale – Another one of my favourite trilogies, this has such a magically written world and such amazing references to Russian folklore.

“There’s plenty of sense in nonsense sometimes, if you wish to look for it” – Clockwork Angel – All of the Cassandra Clare books have amazing quotes but I had to pick this one because it’s one of the most memorable.

“There are so many worse things than death. Not to be loved or not to be able to love: that is worse Clockwork Princess – Clockwork Princess is so far my favourite Cassandra Clare book, it was beautiful and had me in tears for almost 400 pages!

“I turned my nightmares into fireflies and caught them in a jar” – Strange the Dreamer – I had to include a quote from Strange the Dreamer. I read Strange this year, finally, and I fell in love with it. I can’t wait to read Muse of Nightmares in the New year.

“Don’t feel bad for one moment about doing what brings you joy” – A Court of Thorns and Roses – I had to include a quote from ACOTAR as I loved it so much! But I didn’t want to go with the obvious. I really like this one.

It does not do well to dwell on dreams and forget to live” – Harry Potter and The Philosophers Stone – I couldn’t have a Top 10 Book Quotes and not include some Harry Potter quotes! Harry Potter is full to the brim with such inspirational quotes.

It is our choices, that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities” – Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets – Need I say more?

And last but not least…

“Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light” – Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban – Prisoner of Azkaban is my favourite Harry Potter book and film and I just love this quote!

This was so hard to do but so fun! There are so many more quotes I wish I could add but I suppose it’s called Top 10 so I don’t make you read for hours!

Are any of these your favourites too? Would you have added any others?

Thank you for reading, see you tomorrow for my next post!
