Today is usually my Bookish Friday post day but I posted the prompt for it yesterday instead without realising it was the Bookish Friday prompt…oops.
So I’m here with the New Years Resolutions Book Tag instead! As I said, yesterday I posted my 2020 Bookish Goals but when I found this tag on Jenniely blog I knew I wanted to do it. Not sure who the creator is but I think this tag started on booktube…I could be wrong.
Without further ado….Let’s get into it!
An author you’d like to read that you’ve never read
For this one I have to go with Tomi Adeyemi because I went to an event in my city that she was at and I still haven’t read Children of Blood and Bone yet – despite it being on my 2019 Must Reads and now on my 2020 Must Reads.
A book you’d like to read
All the books I own? haha, uhm…Kingdom of Souls. I won a giveaway for it on Twitter from the publisher and I can’t wait to read it.
A classic you’d like to read
I’m unfortunately not a fan of classics. I did read The Haunting of Hill House in 2018 but it just wasn’t very good and I think it put me off. I’d like to try some childrens classics, like Peter Pan and Wizard of Oz.
A book you’d like to re-read
Can I cheat and say Harry Potter series? I’m already re-reading it but I can’t wait to re-read it again at the end of the year with the illustrated editions.
A book you’ve had for ages and want to read
Too many…all of my books I’ve had for the longest time. I think…Vassa In The Night. I’ve been so interested in that one but never picked it up! I know, I’m terrible.
A big book you’d like to read
Not too sure what counts as a big book but I’ll go with…A Discovery of Witches. I’m friends with a few people that love that trilogy and I can’t wait to see what all the hype is about.
An author you’ve previously read and would like to read more of
Brandon Sanderson – I read Skyward & Starsight at the end of 2019 and it was my first time reading his books. I really enjoyed them and so now I’m planning to buddy read all of the other books of his in 2020 with Georgi, starting with Elantris.
A book you got for Christmas and would like to read
I have to go with The Testaments because its the first and only book my parents have bought me.
A series you want to read from start to finish
Again, so many! Rebel of The Sands trilogy I think…
A series you want to finish that you’ve already started
Game of Thrones – I started the first book in 2019. So I’d love to finish the whole series in 2020. Not sure if I will or not though.
Do you set reading goals? If so, how many books do you want to read in 2020?
I do, and I set it to 100 books because in 2019 my goal was 75 books but I managed to read 110 so I feel like 100 is a good goal.
Any other reading goals?
Not particularly, Id like to read more middle grade books so I’m currently aiming for one a month.
I tag: ALL OF YOU! Well, anyone who wants to do this ☺️ I’m useless at tagging individual people.
